The
Chairman of Sino-American Trade Development Association,
Mr. Robert Goodman, continues his expansion of the SATDA
network in the United States. The goal of his recent
mission has been to strengthen our connections with
Federal, State and local governments, and with numerous
organizations with interest in building trade and investment
relationships with China.
Of
particular note since our last issue has been the progress
achieved with the California State Fair and Agriculture
Exposition which boasts over 5,000 agri-business booths
looking to establish new business relationships with
all interested parties. Mr. Goodman has worked hard
and successfully put together a working partnership
to bring Chinese agri-business professionals to the
fair to develop new trade and investment contacts. With
the full support of the Northern California World Trade
Center and the work done by our Chairman, this project
has now found support at all levels of the California
government and is expected to be an exciting opportunity.
A
special reception has been planned for the Chinese delegates
within the California State Capital and at the fair.
They will also receive a private VIP tour of the fair
prior to its opening to the public - a chance for them
to view the exhibits and meet with many California agri-business
professionals and begin setting up times for one-on-one
meetings between them. At the State Capital they will
be received by State legislators and have a chance to
discuss ways to work together to maximize the opportunities
for cooperation between China and California in the
Agriculture industry.
Lastly,
this delegation will be given a valuable seminar by
the Northern California World Trade Center that will
share information on a wide range of topics concerning
international trade - identifying opportunities and
potential trouble areas that must be carefully navigated.
Through
Mr. Goodman's efforts SATDA continues to expand its
influence throughout the United States. Our membership
continues to grow and our members to prosper. We will
continue to ensure that our efforts will always lead
to a better and brighter future for China and American
businesses and the trading relations between them.
