The
purpose of Bob Goodman's Sino-American Trade Development
Association is to bridge the gap between China and the
U.S., help American entrepreneurs and government officials
find investment and development partners, and gain a
deeper understanding of China and its culture. The association
will also facilitate the entry of Chinese government
officials and entrepreneurs into the U.S. marketplace.
SATDA
was sponsored by experts on the Sino-U.S. economy and
established in America in 1991. Since then the association
has been promoting communication and trade between China
and America.
Since
the association was established it has received supportive
letters from U.S. President Bill Clinton, U.S. Secretary
of Commerce Ronald H. Brown, and enthu-siastic Senators,
Representatives, and Governors.
The
present chairman of the association, Mr. Robert E. Goodman
has devoted himself to promoting communications between
China and the U.S. since 1976. In 1983 Mr. Goodman was
one of the first pioneers to bring government officials
of the U.S. Commerce Department and entrepreneurs to
China. His was the first company to invite American
companies to attend the Canton Fair in 1985, and he
also invited a Chinese Mayor's delegation to visit the
U.S. in 1993.
