On
May 28th -June 7th, we are honored to host the Mayor
of Sparks City, Nevada's business outreach mission to
China that will target several major Chinese cities-Beijing,
Tianjin and Dalian City- for purpose of developing new
trading and investment activity. SATDA issued the invitation
and sponsored this mission -making all the arrangements
with city leaders and the actively interested companies
that the delegation will visit while in country. We
know these cities, and SATDA member companies within
these cities, will be extending the warmest welcome
to the Mayor and his entourage.
Sparks
City is the fourth largest city in Nevada. Sparks possesses
powerful business core area (region), and has already
established many new business and trade development
relationships with its many neighbor cities and regions,
both domestic and overseas. Their purpose for the visit
is two-fold. The first is to investigate interesting
investment opportunities in China, and the other is
to stimulate Chinese to invest in various fields in
Sparks City and Nevada. The visit will identify/inform
on numerous areas of business information and opportunities
in several industries that are of mutually interest
to both America and China. The visit will also build
a good foundation for expanding economic activities
interaction between these Chinese cities and Sparks
City in the future.
During
their visit, the members of the Mayor's outreach mission
will have meetings and seminars with these Chinese cities'
government departments and major trade-related government
officials, entrepreneurs and economic development advisers
to discuss the development of business, trade, and investment
cooperation between their cities and the businesses
within their cities. They will also visit some economic
and technologic development areas, representative enterprises,
and famous historical and cultural landmarks.

of Sparks City Mayor Business Mission include: Geno
Roy Martini, Mayor; Judith Ann Moss and Michael Andrew
Carrigan, City Council Members; George Charchalis, Economic
Development Advisory & City Manager; Shaun Douglas Carey,
City Manager; Elena Brady, President of AARCN and ASMG;
and Joni Young, Trade Consultant.
We
are looking forward to their visit and another successful
SADTA sponsored event that will benefit our members,
as well as the delegates and their city of Sparks, Nevada.
